“You idiot! You call yourself a man!”
“…You don’t have to say that just because I burnt a chocolate-And how about you Cagalli?”
“I am not a boy.”
“Hey, that’s not fair! And what does being a good cook has to do with being a man?”
“That’s because!”
Lacus
was watching them as they argue, and had a mysterious smile up on her
face. Whenever Kira and Cagalli argue like this, you can truly see
that they are really brothers and sisters.
For three hours they
have been trying to make a chocolate.
They are perfect at handling mobile suits which are machines, but they can’t even handle a micro wave which is also a machine…
Why is that? Lacus wonders.
“Now you two, stop arguing right now. Tomorrow is the Valentine’s Day. Don’t you think we should hurry up?”
“But Kira!”
“But Cagalli!”
They shouted out, both at the same time. They were like little children, blaming the other when their teacher asks them who did what.
When they heard each other’s voice they started to growl at each other frowning.
“You did somebody taught you to have those poor manners to your big sister?”
“How can you be sure that you are my big sister, Cagalli? I might be your big brother.”
“Shut up! When I say that I am the big sister, that means I am the big sister here.”
“Hnn! Loner!”
“What did you say!”
“STOP! Both of you stop!”
Holding a mixer spoon full of chocolate that she had melted for the fifth time showing the twins how to make a chocolate, she had an angry look in her face. It seems like with was the end of the line, her patience just vanished. Those 16 years of peaceful and calming smile now gone, and instead it was replaced with an angry look. She started yelling at them.
“We have the duty to make chocolates in peace! But what is it that you guys are doing? Why are you making the chocolates for! Is it because of the medals? The money? Or is it because of the evil chocolate shop owner’s orders!”
“La… Lacus.”
“Cagalli, I think I heard that line before…”
As they saw Lacus’s furious expression, they went away from Lacus as far as they could and started to shiver, holding each other.
“Choose the path that you want! Don’t you think we should make chocolates in peace and have a happy Valentine’s Day?”
After her great lecture of “Making chocolates in peace” the spoon finished it’s role and the neck of it just snapped and died in honor.
As soon as they had the thought that they will become like that Kira and Cagalli started to melt the chocolates.
If you want to live! You must make the chocolate in peace!
“Wow! It’s perfect?! Kira and Cagalli, good job!”
Haro was flying mid air, Kira and Cagalli was washing their sweats off as Lacus was complimenting them. Truly, peaceful Lacus is way better than the angry one.
“Ah, you two! Who do you want to give it to?”
Wow, that’s an early question. What have you been doing during past 4 hours?
“I am going to give it to my father. I mean there’s no one else.”(In this fic Uzumi is still alive.)
“Eh… um… I am… going to… give it to… uh… Athrun…”
In instant flash Cagalli and Lacus’s eyes started to twinkle, which gave Kira the creeps. Those twinkling eyes show that they know something.
“What… What is the matter with you two?”
“Kira, as your big sister I ask you……… How far did two of you go?”
“What!”
“Hohoho, those two were going out together a lot lately and I was wondering…”
“Really! Kira and Athrun!”
“La… Lacus, how do you know about that?”
Silence only thing that breaks the silence was those witch like laughs that Lacus and Cagalli was doing.
“Hohohohoho”
“………”
“…Lacus let’s continue making chocolates!”
“Hai just wait for me”
Lacus, you should never have her as an enemy. Somewhere there might be Clyne Faction people hiding spying on you. Wrong move… you might get murdered…
“Cagalli get a circle shape and Kira get the heart?!
Cagalli started to shape the chocolates out without any complains but on the other hand Kira was.
“Why do I have to get the heart?”
“You know?”
Are you sure that your not Mia Cambell? The shape of the pin is Lacus… but the look that you are giving… What’s with the, I know everything? Love is great? look…?
“Finally, finished.”
“It’s perfect.”
“All those 7 hours of work, you guys finally did it!”
Kira and Cagalli started to feel sorry as they saw the mess they had created to Lacus’s house. Lacus started to move around and brought a big chocolate.
“Now, it’s time to put some messages of love and gratitude.”
“Ehhh?”
“No way!”
Knock! Knock!
Athrun was reading a book and he felt very displeased that somebody was here, but as he heard the voice of the person he put the book down immediately.
“Uh… Athrun- can I come in?”
“Kira? Come in!”
Kira started to open the door carefully as if he was handling something dangerous. With those big purple eyes he put out his pink tongue a little feeling sorry that he had distracted Athrun. He also smiled shyly like a little child and Athrun couldn’t help but to laugh.
“Your mother told me, you were reading a book right? I am sorry.” (Athrun’s mother is also alive in this fic)
“It’s okay. I can read books any time.”
Athrun gave a smile, which Kira often tell him that he likes it, and Kira blushed a little. Even though he came to Athrun’s house often when he was little, he felt little uneasy.
“Eh…um… The reason I came here is…”
Athrun started to wonder looking at Kira who’s very nervous, what’s wrong? So he started heading toward the door.
“I’ll bring some juice. Can you wait?”
“No! No, no, no! Athrun! Here!”
Yelling “No!” like mad Kira put the chocolate box in front of Athrun’s face and Athrun started laughing.
“Ha…”
“…..?”
“Ha…Hahaha, hahaha…pink…heart…box…haha!”
“…………I hate you Athrun……. I hate you Athrun…..”
“Ha, uh… Kira?”
Athrun stopped laughing as he saw Kira sitting on the bed looking grim.
“I made it…. While Cagalli was threatening me…While Lacus was lecturing me and Cagalli…and you laughed…. I hate you Athrun….”
“Uh..Ah..? Ki…Kira, I am sorry.”
Kira turned his head toward Athrun’s direction as he heard the word “Sorry”. Kira was giving Athrun a cold stare, which made Athrun to shiver.
That…that means Kira is angry.
“What do you mean by sorry?”
“I am sorry that I laughed. Can I open it?”
Kira nodded and Athrun started untying the neatly tied red ribbon.
“This is…”
“I made it yesterday, it took me 7 hours. Just like I said Cagalli threatened me and Lacus was lecturing.”
The chocolate smelled sweet so was its scent. The chocolate was heart shaped and it was little bumpy. If you are trying to sell it, people probably won’t buy it. But Athrun he couldn’t help but to laugh in happiness.
“Hahaha!”
“Hmmm… Athrun is laughing at it, making fun of it.”
This time Kira’s voice was mixed with little bit of tears it seems like Kira was about to cry. Athrun took a bite.
“It’s tasty and sweet.”
“Isn’t it obvious? It’s chocolate.”
Seeing Kira still angry, Athrun started to pat Kira’s head while smiling.
“No, this is the best chocolate I ever tasted.”
“Liar!”
Athrun cupped his hand on Kira’s cheek as Kira suddenly got up.
Then he kissed Kira, chocolate still in his mouth. Kiss full of chocolate scent, the tears in Kira’s eyes started to fall freely. After the short kiss Athrun brushed away the tears and stared into the amethyst eyes.
“See? It’s sweet, isn’t it?”
“Let…let me go!”
Even though it wasn’t there first time kissing, Kira seemed slightly embarrassed. And he was avoiding Athrun’s eyes. Athrun thought it was cute so he kissed again.
“Isn’t
it sweet?”
”……………. Yeah, it’s sweet.”
“It’s not a lie, right?”
“Yes.”
Kira thought that he’d explode in embarrassment if they keep staring at each other. Suddenly Athrun hugged Kira. The thing that broke the moment was Athrun saying…
“But the shape was kind of weird though…”
“Athrun!”
